Colour: Dark purple-black, darker than the Shiraz. Bright and shiny.
Bouquet: A true varietal expression of good Cabernet Sauvignon displaying cedar and mint aromas. The dark red berries are lifted and fresh with a lovely sweet perfume of sandalwood. Quite exquisite.
Palate: The attack is juicy and mouthfilling which explodes into layers of savoury woody tannins carrying the blackberry and violet fruit. The finish is long and dry. Very Bordeaux in style and taste.
Winemaker’s comments: This is definitely a food wine. The tannins are very strong and assertive, the wine is extremely tight and raw at this early stage of its long life. To drink young, decant at breakfast time and then enjoy with a prime cut of beef. It will make you sing.
