Colour: Deep dark purple-red
Bouquet: The bouquet is exquisite; earthy, woody, dark cherry fruit with attractive spice and savoury black olive complexity.
Palate: Very rich and textural on the palate. The initial impression is an explosion of sweet dark berry and plum fruits. The mid palate is full and long, the after palate tightens up with grainy well- integrated chocolate-like tannins. The flavour profile is persistent – overall, an immensely powerful wine.
Winemaker’s comments: In my opinion it is probably the best Moonambel Shiraz we have made to date and it is only young. In a few years it will be drinking magnificently.
